Bio — About James
Jim Rocca obtained his BA in history from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He continued his studies in history at the University of Toronto Graduate School and received his LLB from the University of Windsor. He was called to the bar in 1977 and has been a successful sole practitioner for over 30 years with a primary focus on real estate and family law. He amalgamated his firm with Martin Sheppard Fraser LLP in July 2011.
Jim has appeared before tribunals, administrative boards and courts, including the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has a varied experience in law as a Federal Prosecutor, Chairperson of the Canada Pension Plan Review Tribunals and Chairperson of the Pipelines Arbitration Committee.
In addition to his many experiences in law, Jim is active in his community, volunteering with both the United Way of Niagara Falls and the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara Falls.
Jim and his wife, Nancy, have two children. In his spare time, Jim relaxes reading history, watching baseball and playing golf.
