Mikayla DePalo

Mikayla was born and raised in the Niagara region and brings a global perspective to her legal career. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Sociology from Brock University in 2021. Following her undergraduate studies, she pursued her Juris Doctor at Griffith University on the Gold Coast in Australia, where she majored in Canadian Law. Studying abroad fulfilled a lifelong dream of living in Australia while staying connected to the Canadian legal system.

Mikayla joined Martin Sheppard Fraser as a law student in 2024 and has been articling with the firm since 2025. Her primary legal interests lie in litigation, where she is passionate about advocacy and problem-solving.

Outside of the office, Mikayla is an avid reader, yoga enthusiast, and animal lover who enjoys spending time outdoors. Her greatest personal goal is to travel the world and experience as many cultures as possible.
